Privacy Policy for TurboFly Merchant
1. Who we are and what this policy covers
TurboFly Delivery & Courier (“TurboFly,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates the TurboFly Merchant Android application and the related merchant web platform (together, the “Service”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, disclose and protect information when an approved merchant uses the Service.
This policy applies to the TurboFly Merchant app, package name com.turbofly.merchant, and the related merchant features made available through TurboFly’s website.
2. Information we process
Depending on the features used, TurboFly may process the following categories of information:
- Merchant identity and account information: merchant name, merchant code, registered mobile number, account status and other information used to identify an approved TurboFly merchant.
- Authentication and security information: PIN, session token, login timestamps, session activity, IP address, device or browser information, diagnostics and security events where applicable.
- Shipment and order information: tracking numbers, parcel-label or shipment images, delivery details, delivery status, cash-on-delivery status and operational notes entered or supplied by the merchant.
- Customer delivery information: customer name, phone number, delivery area or address, delivery instructions and cash-on-delivery amount supplied by the merchant for delivery fulfilment.
- Settlement and transaction information: settlement identifiers, cash-on-delivery totals, delivery charges, balances, settlement statements, payment records and bank-transfer receipt information where available.
- Files and documents: settlement statements, receipts and other operational documents viewed or downloaded through the Service.
- Communications and support information: information provided when a merchant contacts TurboFly for assistance, correction, account support or a privacy request.
The Android app may save a settlement statement or receipt to the merchant’s device when the merchant chooses to download it. Files stored on the device remain there until removed by the merchant or the device system.
3. How we collect information
- Directly from approved merchants when they sign in, create shipment requests, upload parcel information, view settlements or contact support.
- From TurboFly’s own operational systems when delivery, tracking, payment and settlement records are created or updated.
- Automatically through normal technical operation of the Service, such as authentication sessions, security logs, timestamps and network requests.
4. How we use information
TurboFly uses information only for legitimate courier, merchant-account, security and compliance purposes, including to:
- authenticate merchants and protect merchant accounts;
- create, process and manage shipment requests;
- perform delivery and courier operations;
- provide shipment, delivery, cash-on-delivery and settlement status;
- generate and provide settlement statements and payment records;
- coordinate deliveries with merchants, customers, drivers and couriers;
- respond to support, correction, access and deletion requests;
- detect, prevent and investigate fraud, misuse or unauthorized access;
- maintain, troubleshoot and improve the Service; and
- meet accounting, tax, legal, regulatory and dispute-resolution obligations.
5. Sharing and disclosure
TurboFly does not sell merchant or customer personal information.
Information may be disclosed only where reasonably necessary to:
- authorized TurboFly personnel who require it to perform their duties;
- assigned drivers or couriers for delivery fulfilment;
- infrastructure, hosting, communications or technical service providers acting for TurboFly;
- professional advisers, accountants, auditors or insurers;
- government authorities, courts or regulators where disclosure is required by law; or
- a lawful successor organization in connection with a merger, restructuring or transfer of the business.
Service providers are expected to process information only for the services they provide to TurboFly and to protect it appropriately.
6. Data retention
TurboFly retains information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Service, maintain shipment, settlement and accounting records, protect the Service, prevent fraud, resolve disputes and comply with applicable legal obligations.
When information is no longer required, TurboFly may delete it, anonymize it or securely retain it where continued retention is required by law or a legitimate operational obligation.
7. Security
TurboFly uses reasonable administrative, technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information from unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or loss. Network communications are transmitted using encrypted HTTPS connections where supported by the Service.
No electronic system can be guaranteed completely secure. Merchants are responsible for protecting their registered mobile number, PIN, device and any downloaded documents, and for notifying TurboFly promptly if unauthorized access is suspected.
8. Merchant choices and privacy requests
An authorized merchant may request access to, correction of, deactivation of or deletion of eligible account information by contacting TurboFly using the details below.
Before processing a request, TurboFly may verify the requester’s authority over the merchant account. Shipment, cash-on-delivery, settlement, accounting, fraud-prevention, dispute and legally required records may be retained where deletion is not permitted or would interfere with a continuing legal or operational obligation.
Account and data deletion instructions are available at turboflydelivery.com/data-deletion.
9. Account creation and access
TurboFly Merchant does not offer open public account registration inside the Android app. Merchant accounts are provisioned and approved by TurboFly Delivery & Courier. Access may be suspended or deactivated where the merchant relationship ends, security is compromised or the Service is misused.
10. Children
TurboFly Merchant is a business service intended for approved adult merchants and is not directed to children or persons under 18. TurboFly does not knowingly provide merchant accounts to children.
11. International processing
Information may be processed or stored through service providers located outside the merchant’s immediate location. Where this occurs, TurboFly takes reasonable steps to require appropriate safeguards consistent with the nature of the information and applicable obligations.
12. Third-party websites and services
The Service may open external websites, telephone functions, files or other services controlled by third parties. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. TurboFly is not responsible for a third party’s independent processing outside TurboFly’s control.
13. Changes to this policy
TurboFly may update this Privacy Policy when the Service, legal requirements or business practices change. Material changes may be communicated through the Service or directly to merchants where appropriate.
